According to the statistics released by the Steel Exporters' Association (CIB), in November this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 70,420 metric tons, decreasing by 38.4 percent month on month and down 29.3 percent from November 2010. Turkey's wire rod exports in October this year had seen a 146.3 percent year-on-year increase.
Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in November totaled $50.8 million, decreasing by 13.8 percent year on year and down 39.8 percent compared to the previous month.
Meanwhile, in the first 11 months of 2011, Turkey's wire rod exports increased by 6.2 percent, amounting to 1.12 million metric tons, while the revenue from these exports totaled $800 million, up 31.4 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2010.
In January-November this year, Turkey's wire rod exports to the US decreased by 40.5 percent to 106,009 mt, its wire rod exports to Brazil amounted to 101,913 mt, increasing by 24.85 percent, while its wire rod exports to Kenya increased by 962 percent to 98,380 mt, all on year-on-year basis.
