Turkish wire rod exports decrease in April

According to the data provided by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in April this year Turkey's total wire rod exports amounted to 94,670 metric tons, decreasing by 22.8 percent month on month and down 36.7 percent from April 2011.

Meanwhile, the revenue generated by Turkey's wire rod exports in April totaled $62.2 million, decreasing by 21 percent compared to the previous month and down 38.1 percent year on year.

On the other hand, in the first four months of 2012 Turkey's wire rod exports stood at 391,442 metric tons, down 3.2 percent year on year, while the total revenue of these exports amounted to $254.85 million, decreasing by 5.3 percent as compared to the corresponding period of the previous year.
