In April this year, Turkey's steel pipe exports declined as compared to the previous month after rising for two straight months.
According to the statistics released by the Istanbul Mineral and Metals Exporters' Association (IMMIB), in April this year Turkey's total steel pipe exports amounted to 142,059 metric tons, dropping by 13.26 percent year on year and down 5.04 percent month on month. Meanwhile, the revenue generated by these exports totaled $128.17 million, down 13.28 percent compared to the same month of the previous year and down 8.81 percent over March.
In April, the average export price of Turkish steel pipes amounted to $902/mt, down $37/mt or 3.97 percent from March and remaining at the same level as compared to April 2009.

On the other hand, in the first four months of 2010, Turkey's steel pipe exports fell 4.77 percent, reaching 520,764 metric tons, while the revenue of these exports totaled $472.89 million, down 10.94 percent, both compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
