According to the statistics released by the Turkish Statistics Institute (TUIK), Turkey's monthly industrial turnover index in February this year increased by 20.3 percent year on year and was down 0.2 percent month on month, following the 22.8 percent year-on-year increase recorded in January.
In February, the industrial turnover index for the manufacture of basic metals in Turkey increased by 18.4 percent year on year and registered a 2.1 percent fall from the previous month, after an increase of 7.4 percent in January compared to December. In February of the current year, the industrial turnover index for fabricated metal product manufacturing, except machinery and equipment, in Turkey increased by 27.4 percent year on year and by five percent from the previous month.
