Turkey’s basic metal production index rises in March

According to the data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK), in March this year Turkey's monthly industrial production index increased by 2.4 percent year on year, while the seasonal and calendar adjusted industrial production index increased by 0.7 percent compared to the previous month. On the other hand, in Turkey the production index of the manufacturing industry in March increased 1.6 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.

In March, the index for the manufacture of basic metals increased by 10.7 percent year on year and was up 10.8 percent over February, while the index for the manufacture of fabricated metal products rose by 9.3 percent year on year and was up by 14.3 percent compared to the previous month.
