Turkey’s automotive exports up 38.2%

Turkish automotive exports totaled $6.6 billion in the first half of the year, up 38.2% year on year. For the January-June 2005 period, the Turkish automotive sector exported a total of 165 countries and self-governing territories, as well as 13 free zones. EU member countries accounted for $4.57 billion of the total automotive exports in the first six months of 2005. The automotive exports to Germany, Italy, France, Spain and the UK reached $3.35 billion.
