Tianjin Steel hikes medium plate price

On April 1, Tianjin Steel hiked its ex-factory prices for medium plate. The details are as follows:

The prices of 6-8 mm common carbon medium plate have been raised RMB 50/mt ($6.46). As a result, the mill's price of 6 mm costs RMB 4,520/mt ($585), while 8 mm has risen to RMB 4,400/mt ($569).

The above figures do not include transportation costs. If the mill takes charge of transportation, the prices will be RMB 30/mt higher.

The above prices include taxes and are effective as of April 1, 2007.
