Tianjin Steel hikes medium plate price

SteelOrbis Shanghai On February 6, Tianjin Steel hiked its ex-factory prices for medium plate by RMB 50/mt ($6.5/mt). After the adjustment, the mill's price of 16-20 mm costs RMB 3,850/mt ($497/mt), while 32-40 mm has risen to RMB 4,000/mt ($516/mt). The above figures do not include transportation costs. If the mill takes charge of transportation, the prices will be RMB 30/mt higher. The above prices include taxes and are effective as of February 6, 2007.
