Tianjin Steel hikes medium plate ex-factory prices

SteelOrbis Shanghai On January 10, Tianjin Steel hiked its ex-factory prices of medium plate by RMB 100/mt ($13/mt). The new ex-factory prices of Q235 common carbon medium plates are as follows for various thicknesses:

6 mm                        RMB 4,230/mt ($542/mt)
8 mm                        RMB 4,110/mt ($527/mt) 
10 mm                       RMB 3,950/mt ($506/mt) 
12 mm                       RMB 3,820/mt ($490/mt)
14 mm                       RMB 3,750/mt ($481/mt)
16-20 mm                   RMB 3,730/mt ($478/mt) 
22 mm                       RMB 3,750/mt ($481/mt) 
Meanwhile, the prices of Q345B(A) low-alloy plate of the above specifications increased by RMB 150/mt ($19/mt). The figures given above do not include transportation costs. If the mill takes charge of transportation, the prices will be RMB 30/mt higher. All the above product prices include taxes and are effective as of January 10, 2007.
