Tangshan Steel develops ultra-low carbon steel and Ti-stabilized IF steel

Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Tangshan Iron and Steel Corp. has announced that it has succeeded in developing ultra-low carbon steel and Ti-stabilized interstitial-free (IF) steel.

The ultra-low carbon steel and Ti-stabilized IF steel are categorized as high-end steels with a good stamping performance. These steels are widely used in the auto manufacturing sector in order to reduce the net weight of vehicles and reduce consumption of fuels and raw materials.
