Taishan Steel commissions hot rolled stainless steel annealing and pickling line

Shandong Province-based Chinese steel producer Taishan Iron and Steel Group (Taishan Steel) has lately commissioned a hot rolled stainless steel annealing and pickling line.

The line in question is the biggest hot rolled stainless steel annealing and pickling line in China to date, with an annual production capacity of 600,000 mt. The establishment of the line cost a total investment of RMB 820 million (approximately $121 million).

Taishan Steel also revealed that it is planning to invest RMB 3 billion (approximately $440 million) to set up a cold rolled stainless steel production line with an annual output capacity of 600,000 mt. However, the steelmaker did not disclose any further details.
