Steel industry investment in Henan falls slightly in January-April

According to the Industry and Information Technology Department of China's Henan Province, in the January-April period of the current year investment in the iron and steel industry in the province amounted to RMB 6.1 billion ($970 million), down 1.1 percent year on year.

Meanwhile, in the given period total industrial investment in the province amounted to RMB 230 billion ($36.39 billion), up 25.7 percent year on year. Meanwhile, in January-April investment in the six main energy-intensive industries in the province, which accounted for 27.9 percent of total industrial investment for the period, amounted to RMB 64.3 billion ($10.17 billion), up 7.1 percent year on year, but with a drop of 17.1 percentage points in the growth rate year on year.
