Steel leads Shanghai’s exports

China's Shanghai province saw 24.1 percent year on year increase in its six-months foreign trade reaching $161.9 billion. EU, USA and Japan accounted for 54.9 percent of the province's total foreign trade. Shanghai's steel exports reached $1.8 billion with 170 percent year on year increase and led the way through the first half of 2005.
