Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel’s seamless pipe project starts production

Chinese steelmaker Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel Co., Ltd has announced the completion of construction and start of production at its new stainless steel seamless pipe project which has a designed annual output capacity of 50,000 mt. The company said that, with the new project coming on stream, it has now become the world's biggest producer of stainless steel seamless pipes.

Starting from March 2008, Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel initiated its project for the upgrading of stainless steel seamless pipe production technology, with a total investment of RMB 2.16 billion. Products from the new pipe project will be supplied to power plants, the petroleum industry, chemical industry, nuclear industry and the transportation industry.

Shanxi Taigang Stainless Steel can produce most categories of stainless steel seamless pipes required in China.
