Russian steel pipe output up 30.2 percent in January

According to the State Statistics Committee of Russia (Russtat), in the first month of the current year Russia registered a 30.2 percent growth in its steel pipe output to 936,600 mt.

In particular, in the given month, Russian companies produced 273,000 mt of seamless pipes - up 2.2 percent, 24,600 mt of welded pipes - up 10.6 percent, 333,000 mt of electric-welded large diameter pipes - up 80.7 percent, and  306,000 mt of other kinds of electric-welded pipes - up 24.5 percent, all compared to January 2014.
