Russia issues Jan-July export data

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal Customs Service, in the first seven months of 2008 Russia exported 17.368 million metric tons of ferrous metals (excluding pig iron, ferroalloys and scrap) - up 7.6 percent, 3.156 million metric tons of pig iron - up three percent, 451,800 metric tons of ferroalloys - up eight percent, 9.978 million metric tons of semi-finished steel products - up 13.5 percent, 4.682 million metric tons of flat rolled products - up 2.6 percent, 13.01 million metric tons of iron ore and concentrate - down 2.4 percent, and 1.926 million metric tons of coke and semi-coke - up 4.7, all compared to the first seven months of 2007.
