Russia issues import-export data for Jan-Sept

According to the data released by the Russian Federation's Federal Customs Service, for the January –September 2006 period, Russia exported 21.7 million metric tons of ferrous metals (excluding pig iron, ferroalloys and scrap), 4.4 million metric tons of pig iron, 507,400 metric tons of ferroalloys, 11 million metric tons of semi-finished steel products and 6.94 million metric tons of flat rolled products. During the period in question, Russia imported 3.06 million metric tons of ferrous metals (excluding pig iron, ferroalloys and scrap) and 933,600 metric tons of steel pipes.
