Raw coal output in Inner Mongolia totals 681 million mt in Jan-Aug

In the January-August period of the current year, the total raw coal output of China’s Inner Mongolia region amounted to 681 million mt, up 11.5 percent year on year, while in August alone 79.5 million mt of raw coal was produced in the region, down 3.45 million mt year on year and decreasing by 5.3 percent month on month, according to the regional authorities.
 
In the first eight months of the current year, the western part of Inner Mongolia produced 470.51 million mt of raw coal, increasing by 11.7 year on year and accounting for 69.1 percent of the overall regional output.
 
Meanwhile, the eastern part of Inner Mongolia produced 210.15  million mt of raw coal in the given period, increasing by 11.1 percent year on year and accounting for 30.9 percent of the overall production figure.
