Poland’s JSW KOKS to secure funding to construct heat and power unit

Poland’s National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management will provide funding of PLN 150 million ($36.52 million) to JSW KOKS S.A., a coke mill belonging to Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa SA, for the construction of a heat and power unit at the latter’s Radlin coking plant, according to media reports.

The project will contribute to building the future energy self-sufficiency of Jastrzebska Spolka Weglowa.

The unit under construction, which is said to be one of the most modern facilities of this type in Poland, is designed to produce 196,000 MWh of electricity.
