Finland’s Ruukki wins steel contract over €8 million

Monday, 26 September 2011 15:58:28 (GMT+3)   |

Finland-based plantmaker Ruukki announced that it will deliver the steel structures for a paper mill to be built by Finnish paper manufacturer Stora Enso in Ostroleka, Poland. Ruukki will be responsible for manufacturing and installing the steel frame for the paper mill and warehouse.
The contract is worth over €8 million.

According to the company statement, Ruukki's double-grade high-strength steel will be used for the steel structures, enabling structures that are up to 20 per cent lighter in weight.

The steel structures will be manufactured at Ruukki's steel structure plants at Oborniki in Poland and Bolintin Deal in Romania between October 2011 and February 2012. Installation work will begin in November 2011 and the mill is scheduled to be completed during the first quarter of 2013
