Moldavian Steel Works to produce 0.5 million mt of crude steel in 2014

In the week from January 13 to January 20, Moldavian Metallurgical Works (MMZ), a steelmaker based in the Transnistrian region of Moldova, produced 8,017 mt of rolled products, including 4,174 mt of reinforcing bars and 3,843 mt of wire rod, according to the company's statement.
Shipments from the beginning of January this year amounted to 11,944 mt of rolled products, including 5,926 mt of reinforcing bars and 6,018 mt of wire rod.

MMZ's January production rolled products will go mainly to Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and the EU market.

For the whole of 2014, the company plans to produce 0.5 million mt of crude steel.
