The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has recommissioned its blast furnace (BF) No. 10 after reconstruction.

The reconstruction was carried out within the framework of the program directed at replacement of the existing charging devices at MMK blast furnaces with cone-free charging devices produced by Luxembourg-based engineering company Paul Wurth.

Within the last one and a half years, MMK has successfully replaced charging devices at three of its blast furnaces.

In addition to charging device replacement, several other equipment items and components of the BF No. 10 have been reconstructed.
