Liberty acquires UK-based automotive supplier CovPres

International industrial and metals group Liberty House has announced that it has acquired UK-based car parts supplier CovPres and has secured the jobs of 740 workers at the company's plant in Coventry, England.
 
According to the company’s statement, the acquisition of CovPres, which will be renamed Liberty Pressing Solutions, complements Liberty’s existing automotive pressed components facility in the West Midlands which also forms part of the new enlarged Liberty Pressing Solutions division.
 
Liberty also stated that it has drawn up a detailed plan to ensure the future sustainability and profitability of the business, which will include ongoing capital investment, strengthened financial management and the benefits that will come from joint purchasing and marketing with Liberty’s other operations in the UK.
