The Ukrainian pipe producer Khartsyzsk Tube Works (KTZ) is holding talks concerning possible supplies of strip with South Korean and Japanese producers, the names of which have not yet been disclosed.

KTZ's Director of Strategy and Investment, Mr. Alexander Kravtzov, has stated that currently Ukraine does not produce the strips necessary for the production of pipes with large diameters up to 1420 mm, the production line for which was inaugurated today. The new line has the capacity to produce 200,000-300,000 metric tons a year of 508-1420 mm diameter pipes.

However, to use the new pipe production line at its full capacity KTZ needs to secure the necessary supplies of strips.
