Kazakhstan’s crude steel output down 18 percent in January-May

In the January-May period of the current year, Kazakhstan produced 1.354 million mt of crude steel, down 17.9 percent year on year, according to the State Statistics Committee of Kazakhstan.

Production of flat steel in Kazakhstan in the January-May period this year decreased by 31 percent year on year to 874,300 mt.

In the first five months of the current year, Kazakhstan saw its ferroalloy production decline by 3.5 percent year on year to 679,700 mt.
