Jindal Vijaynagar targets 10 million ton production

Indian steel producer Jindal Vijaynagar Steel (JVS) reportedly plans to increase its annual production to 10 million tons by 2010. JVS currently produces 2.4 million tons of steel per annum. In line with the capacity expansion plan, the company will initially increase its capacity by1.2 million tons in the next twelve months. In the second stage, the company will build a 6.4 million-ton steel plant in Karnataka. The company also seeks acquisitions in India.
