Indian steelmaker Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) has announced that in the first quarter ended June 30 of the financial year 2018-19 its crude steel production increased by 36 percent year on year to 1.23 million mt. In the given period, JSPL’s steel sales totaled 1.18 million mt, rising by 46 percent compared to same quarter of the previous financial year.

The company noted that the above-mentioned figures do not include the crude steel production at its subsidiary Jindal Shadeed in Oman.
