Honghe Steel commissions new structural steel project

Yunnan Province-based Chinese steelmaker Honghe Iron and Steel Co. (Honghe Steel) has commissioned its new structural steel production plant, as announced by its parent company Kunming Iron and Steel Group.

Construction of the structural steel plant commenced in November 2010. The designed annual production capacity is 600,000 mt. With the commissioning, Honghe Steel's annual production capacity of finished steel products has increased to 2.3 million mt, including angles, channels beams and round bars.
