Germany’s pasenger car production edges down three percent in September

According to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA), Germany's passenger car output in September this year dropped by three percent year on year to 534,500 units.

During the month in question, new passenger car registrations in Germany declined by 18 percent year on year to 260,000 units, while passenger car exports rose by five percent year on year reaching 398,100 units.

In the January-September period of 2010, Germany's total passenger car output reached 3,113,900 units, up 14 percent, passenger car exports amounted to 3,132,900 units, up 31 percent, while new registrations decreased by 28 percent to 2,167,100 units, all compared to the corresponding period of 2009.
