Germany's commercial vehicle output up three percent in April

In April this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 31,919 units, down 0.3 percent month on month and increasing by 12 percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first four months of this year, Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by 10 percent year on year, totaling 113,630 units.
 
According to the VDA, in April this year 28,720 commercial vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month increase of 3.3 percent and a year-on-year growth of three percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-April period of the current year amounted to 109,540 units, decreasing by one percent from the same period last year.
 
In the given month, a total of 21,750 commercial vehicles were exported from Germany, up by 0.3 percent month on month and increasing by four percent compared to April last year. In the first four months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 83,470 units, remaining stable on year-on-year basis.
