Germany's commercial vehicle output down eight percent in March

In March this year, commercial vehicle registrations in the German market totaled 32,020 units, up 25.2 percent month on month and increasing by three percent year on year, according to the data released by the German Association of the Automotive Industry (VDA). Meanwhile, in the first three months of this year, Germany's commercial vehicle registrations increased by nine percent year on year, totaling 81,720 units.
 
According to the VDA, in March this year 27,860 commercial vehicles rolled off production lines in Germany, which represents a month-on-month decrease of 3.3 percent and a year-on-year drop of eight percent. German commercial vehicle output in the January-March period of the current year amounted to 80,880 units, decreasing by three percent from the same period last year.
 
In March this year, a total of 21,750 commercial vehicles were exported from Germany, down by 1.5 percent month on month and increasing by two percent compared to March last year. In the first three months of the current year, German commercial vehicle exports amounted to 61,780 units, decreasing by one percent year on year.
