German rolled steel prices down 3.5 percent in October

As reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in October this year the producer prices of industrial products in Germany rose by 1.5 percent compared to October 2011 and remained unchanged compared to the previous month of the current year. Destatis noted that, without considering energy, producer prices were up 1.3 percent on year-on-year basis and rose by 0.1 percent compared to September.

In October, German producers' rolled steel prices fell by 3.5 percent compared to the same month of 2011, continuing its downward movement on year-on-year basis since the beginning of the year. Meanwhile, seamless steel tube prices in Germany decreased by 5.4 percent in October compared to October 2011.
