German metal manufacturing turnover up 1.6 percent in Apr from Mar

In April this year, the seasonally and working-day adjusted turnover in the German manufacturing industry rose by 0.8 percent compared to March, according to the preliminary data reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In March, a corrected 0.7 percent decrease was registered compared to February. 
                                      
In April of the current year, the turnover of German metal and metal product manufacturing increased by 1.6 percent compared to the previous month with domestic sales up 1.9 percent and foreign sales up 1.2 percent, month on month. 
 
In the given month, the turnover in manufacture of fabricated metal products in Germany decreased by 1.1 percent, with domestic sales growing by 1.7 percent and foreign sales down by 6.6 percent, all compared to the previous month.
