Georgia’s semi-finished exports to Turkey rise in first seven months

In the first seven months of this year, Georgia's exports of semi-finished products of iron or non-alloy steel to Turkey, the country's main trading partner, amounted to 28,562 metric tons, totaling a value of $13.39 million, according to the data provided by the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat). No semi-finished product exports were recorded in the same period of the previous year.
 
Meanwhile, in the given period Georgia's bars and rods of iron exports to Turkey increased to 13,830 mt, up strongly compared to the January-July period of 2012, with a value of $8 million.
