Fushun Special Steel to invest RMB 600 million in upgrading in 2012

Liaoning Province-based Chinese steel producer Fushun Special Steel has stated that in the current year it plans to launch 18 technological upgrading projects covering a total of 30 items of equipment. The total planned investment in these upgrading projects in 2012 is RMB 600 million ($95.39 million).

Meanwhile, in the first half of the current year Fushun Special Steel will commission a titanium alloy line, a new high-speed forging line and a special steel smelting facility. Equipment installation has already begun at these facilities. The annual output capacity of the new high-speed forging line will be 80,000 mt, that of the titanium alloy line will reach 1,900 mt, while the special steel smelting facility will have an annual output capacity of 14,500 mt.
