In May this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the European Union (EU) increased by nine percent year on year to 204,770 units, according to the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association (ACEA).
In May, all major EU markets performed well except the United Kingdom (-2.6%), with increases in Spain (19.3%), Germany (13.2%), Italy (9.2%) and France (7.9%), compared to May 2016.
In the first five months of this year, new commercial vehicle registrations in the EU totaled almost 1.0 million units, up 4.6 percent on year-on-year basis. Spain (+15.5%), Italy (+7.8%), France (+7.0%) and Germany (+4.3%) recorded the highest increases, while the UK (-3.8%) market declined , all year on year.
