EU-27 new industrial orders down 2.3 percent in July over June

According to a statement released on September 22 by Eurostat, the Statistical Office of the European Communities, new industrial orders in the European Union member states (EU-27) declined by 2.3 percent month on month in July, after a revised month-on-month increase of 2.5 percent recorded in June. The year-on-year increase in July was recorded at 12.5 percent in the region.
 
On the other hand, in July new industrial orders in the EU-27, excluding ships, railway and aerospace equipment for which changes tend to be more volatile, fell by 0.5 percent month on month and were up 14.8 percent year on year.
