Dongbei Special Steel’s crude steel output rises 10.7 percent in 2011

Chinese steelmaker Dongbei Special Steel Co. has announced that in 2011 its crude steel output reached 1.87 million mt, up 10.7 percent, while its finished steel production totaled 1.61 million mt, up 10.8 percent, both year on year. The steel producer’s operating revenue in 2011 reached RMB 1.68 billion ($265 million), up 15.6 percent, while its net profit totaled RMB 170 million ($27 million).
 
For 2012, Dongbei Special Steel is targeting a crude steel output of 3.2 million mt and a finished steel output of 2.72 million mt, an operating revenue of RMB 2.36 billion ($373 million) and a net profit of RMB 430 million ($68 million).
