DOC not to revoke AD order on certain flat products from Japan

On December 7, 2004, the US Department of Commerce (DOC) initiated a changed circumstances review regarding certain corrosion-resistant carbon steel flat products from Japan in a response to a request for partial revocation received from Japanese steel producer Metal One Corporation. During the comment phase of the review, US Steel submitted a letter opposing the request for revocation. On June 21, 2005, the DOC published preliminary results of the subject review. The DOC determined at that time that revocation is not warranted since the domestic industry wants the duties to remain in force. Having receiving no comments on the preliminary results, the DOC found that changed circumstances do not exist. Therefore, the DOC decided not to revoke the subject order.
