Demand in Germany’s construction industry falls slightly in May

As reported by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the total price-adjusted value of orders received by building construction and civil and underground engineering enterprises in Germany declined by 0.5 percent in May this year from the same month of the previous year.
In May, building construction demand increased by 0.7 percent, while demand in civil and underground engineering decreased by 1.5 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
