Danieli inks MoU with Suez Canal Authority to build steel plant

Italian plantmaker Danieli has announced that it has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Suez Canal Authority for a construction of a steelmaking plant at Al Ain Sokhna, Egypt.

According to the agreement, Danieli undertakes to supply a turn-key plant to be built in two steps. The first step concerns the construction of a rolling line with a production capacity of 600,000 mt and the second step concerns the construction of a melt shop and of a second rolling mill.
