Daan Special Steel builds production facility in Xinjiang

Xinjiang region-based Chinese steelmaker Daan Special Steel Co. is building a special steel production facility at the Erdaohu Industrial Park in Xinjiang, according to local media sources. The planned annual output capacity of the project is 2 million mt.
 
Upon commissioning, the annual production value of the project is expected to be RMB 11.9 billion ($1.89 billion). Total investment in the project will reach RMB 10.9 billion ($1.73 billion). Work on the first phase started in March this year. This phase will have an annual production capacity of 800,000 mt of finished steel products and is expected to be commissioned in November this year. The overall project is expected to be completed by the end of 2015.
