CSC sees increased carbon steel sales in October compared to September

Taiwan's largest steelmaker China Steel Corporation (CSC) has announced that in October this year its carbon steel sales volume amounted to 853,150 metric tons, rising 1.72 percent compared to September and accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales. In the first 10 months of the current year, the company sold 8.12 million mt of carbon steel, accounting for 64 percent of domestic sales.
 
In October, CSC's operating revenues amounted to NTD 30.7 billion ($994.4 million), falling 0.4 percent compared to the previous month. In the first 10 months, the operating revenues of the company totaled NTD 307.5 billion ($9.9 billion). In October, the company registered earnings before tax of NTD 2.9 billion ($93.9 million), declining by 3.3 percent compared to September.
