In March this year, the seasonally adjusted confidence index in the Italian construction sector decreased from 81.5 to 80, down 1.84 percent month on month, after two months of increase on month-on-month basis. The March reading is lower compared to January's 80.4.
In March, the index rose by 3.87 percent in the field of civil engineering, while it was up by 0.3 percent in building construction, both month on month. Meanwhile, confidence in specialized construction works in March was down 2.16 percent as compared to February.
