According to the production results reported by Chongqing Iron and Steel Inc. (Chongqing Steel), a Chinese steel producer located in Chongqing city, its 4,100 mm wide plate line achieved a total output volume of 402,237 mt in the first half of 2010. The average hourly output volume of the line reached 183.28 mt during the period in question.
In June, the production line rolled a total of 93,900 mt of wide plates, compared with 25,000 mt in January. During the same month, the line processed 100,000 mt of wide plates, higher than the volume of 24,900 mt recorded in January.
