China’s coal imports decline by 37.5 percent in H1

In June this year, China’s coal exports amounted to 470,000 mt, up 17.5 percent year on year, while its coal imports totaled 16.60 million mt, declining by 33.73 percent year on year, according to the monthly import and export data issued by the Chinese customs authorities on July 13.
 
In the January-June period this year, China exported 2.34 million mt of coal, while its coal imports totaled 99.87 million mt, down 25.9 percent and 37.5 percent, respectively, both year on year.
