China’s new proven iron ore reserves total 2.38 billion mt in 2011

China's Ministry of Land and Resources (MLR) has announced figures for new proven reserves of coal and iron ore discovered in China in 2011.
 
Accordingly, newly-discovered large and medium-size coal and iron ore deposits in China in 2011 amounted to 47 and 18 respectively, while new proven coal reserves totaled 57.51 billion mt and new proven iron ore reserves amounted to 2.38 billion mt.
