Chinese steelmaker Maanshan Iron & Steel Co., located in Maanshan, China, has awarded Germany-based plantmaker SMS Mevac a contract for the supply of a duplex RH plant. Commissioning of the duplex RH plant is scheduled for the second half of 2011.
The duplex RH plant will be part of a new electric steelmaking shop which is going to produce among others starting material for the fabrication of high speed train wheels.
