On May 21,
Germany-based engineering company and plantmaker Siemens, announced that it has received an order from Chinese steelmaker Henan Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. to supply a
wire rod outlet for its first imported rod mill that will produce higher quality steel grade products for the company. The rod outlet is to be installed on a Chinese-made roughing intermediate mill. The project is scheduled to be completed by late 2011.
