China’s fixed asset investments up 13.9 percent in January-February

In the January-February period of the current year, total fixed asset investments (excluding rural households) in China amounted to RMB 3.4477 trillion ($0.551 trillion), up 13.9 percent year on year, as announced by China's National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) on March 11, with the year-on-year increase rate in question down 1.8 percentage points compared to that recorded in the whole of 2014.

In the January-February period, total fixed asset investment in China's mining sector amounted to RMB 55.4 billion ($8.85 billion), down 2.6 percent year on year, while fixed asset investment in China's manufacturing sector totaled RMB 1.0851 trillion ($0.173 trillion), up 10.6 percent year on year, with these respective year-on-year increase rates down 3.3 percentage points and decreasing by 2.9 percentage points compared to those recorded in the whole of 2014.
